S. Zhou et al. 2014An ornithuromorph bird (predentary bone
present, delicate U-shaped furcula, first phalanx of the
major digit expanded, short plow-shaped pygostyle) with
the unique combination of the following features: premaxillary
corpus elongate and toothless; maxilla with
numerous teeth; rostrum 50 % of skull length; ethmoid
bone lining rostral half of the orbit; tubercle on caudal
margin of minor digit phalanx; pubes with dorsally
expanded distal boot; and narrow ischium with concave
ventral margin and weak dorsal process at midpoint.
