Taxonomy
Ichthyotringa tenuirostris was named by Cope (1878). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (Cope collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon. It is the type species of Ichthyotringa.
