Taxonomy
Protoresinacarus brevipedis was named by Khaustov and Poinar (2011). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Ron Buckley amber collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Protoresinacarus.
