Dinorthis interstriata was named by Willard (1928) [= Dinorthis pectinella Hall (not Emmons), 2nd Ann. Rep. New York State Geo!., pi. 34, figs. 39-40, 1883. = Dinorthis pectinella Hall (not Emmons)Hall and Clarke, Pal. New York, vol. 8, pt. i, pi. 5, figs. 27, 28, 1893.]. Its type specimen is A.M.N.H. 692 and is a 3D body fossil.
