Taxonomy
Camerella lenticularis was named by Billings (1866) [Lectotype designated by Jin (1984)]. Its type specimen is GSC 2280a and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Parastrophia lenticularis by Twenhofel (1928); it was recombined as Parastrophinella lenticularis by Bolton (1972); it was recombined as Virgiana lenticularis by Jin (1984); it was recombined as Viridita lenticularis by Jin and Copper (2000).
