Taxonomy
Stricklandinia salterii was named by Billings (1868) [ Stricklandinia Salterii]. Its type specimen is GSC 2528, a valve (ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Stricklandia salteri by Jin (1984); it was recombined as Microcardinalia (Chiastodoca) salterii by Jin and Copper (1998) and Jin and Copper (2000).
