Taxonomy
Praeneothyris subovalis was named by Kats (1962). Its type specimen is No. 4--271/7 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sadyvara (sandstone), which is in a Maastrichtian marine sandstone in Turkmenistan.
