Taxonomy
Pygites magomaevi was named by Komarov and Sannikova (2009). Its type specimen is No. 2-15-06 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Verkhorech'ye, Gory Belaya, which is in a Hauterivian carbonate limestone in Ukraine.
