Taxonomy
Neoliodes dominicus was named by Heethoff et al. (2009). Its type specimen is GZG.BST.28998, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Gottingen GZG collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
