Taxonomy
Ommatocepheus nortoni was named by Arillo et al. (2008). Its type specimen is MCNA 13348, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Salinillas de Buradón (Alava amber), which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in Spain.
