Taxonomy
Rhynchonella corallina was named by Leymerie (1846). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aube, which is in an Oxfordian marine horizon in the Coral Rag de Trouville Formation of France.
It was recombined as Rhactorhynchia corallina by Makridin (1964) and Kamyshan and Babanova (1973); it was recombined as Lacunosella corallina by Lobacheva (1983); it was recombined as Septaliphoria corallina by Shi and Grant (1993).
