Latouchella iacobinica was named by Geyer (1986). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Igorella iacobinica by Parkhaev and Demidenko (2010) and Wagner (2023).

P. Y. Parkhaev and Y. Demidenko 2010The species Latouchella sanxiaensis Yu, 1979 and L. iacobinica Geyer, 1986 are excluded from the genus Latouchella and placed in the genus Igorella, because the apical part of their shells does not compose a complete whorl.
