Taxonomy
Holmaniella papillata was named by Shaposhnikov (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 3064/2301, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 3064), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Holmaniella.
