Walencrinuroides rolfi was named by Moss and Westrop (2014) [= Encrinuroides cf. rarus (Walcott); Ludvigsen 1975 pl. 3, figs. 22, 23. = Encrinuroides rarus (Walcott) Chatterton & Ludvigsen 1976 p. 74, pl. 15, figs. 1–43. = Encrinuroides rarus (Walcott) Ludvigsen 1978 pl. 2, fig. 22. = Encrinuroides rarus (Walcott) Ludvigsen 1979 p. 21, figs. 42–48.]. Its type specimen is UA 1372, a cephalon/head (Cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.

Coarse glabellar tubercles confined to anterior lobe. Rhynchos of hypostome broad (tr.), gently tapered and well rounded anteriorly
