Taxonomy
Iberithyris ovalis was named by Lobacheva (2007). Its type specimen is TSNIGR No. 25/13148 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Partizanskoye (Hauterivian), which is in a Hauterivian marine horizon in Ukraine.
