Proeremotherium eljebe
Taxonomy
Proeremotherium eljebe was named by Carlini et al. (2006). Its type specimen is AMU-CURS 126, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1.5 km Northwest of Cerro Chiguaje, which is in a Messinian/Zanclean fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Codore Formation of Venezuela. It is the type species of Proeremotherium.
