Ringsteadia pseudocordata
Taxonomy
Ammonites pseudocordatus was named by Blake and Hudleston (1877). Its type specimen is BGS GSM46264 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Westbury (Westbury Ironstone, BGS collection), which is in an Oxfordian carbonate limestone in the Ampthill Clay Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Ringsteadia.
It was recombined as Ringsteadia pseudocordata by Wright (2010).
