Taxonomy
Praekolymia kaschirtzevi was named by Kuznetsov and Biakov (2014). Its type specimen is KFU 551/290, a valve (right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Left bank Arkachan River, Endybal Mountain, Western Verkhoyan, which is in a Kungurian marine siliciclastic in the Tumara Formation of the Russian Federation.
