Taxonomy
Terebratula jooraensis was named by Kitchin (1900) [Lectotype designated by Mukherjee 2007.]. Its type specimen is GSI 6656 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Kutchithyris jooraensis by Buckman (1918) and Mukherjee (2007).
