Taxonomy
Plectosyntrophia unicostata was named by Popov et al. (2002). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Anderkenyn-Akchoku, Chu-Ili Range, sample 626, which is in a Caradoc perireef or subreef limestone in the Anderken Formation of Kazakhstan.
It was recombined as Parastrophina unicostata by Jin and Popov (2008).
