Taxonomy
Pseudohymenopsis minor was named by Zalessky (1956). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Chekarda, Sylva River (Zalessky collection, Vernadsky State Museum), which is in a Kungurian deltaic siliciclastic in the Koshelevka Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Protohymen minor by Carpenter (1992); it was recombined as Pseudohymen minor by Novokshonov (1998).
