Taxonomy
Sphaerirhynchia glomerosa was named by Amsden (1958). Its type specimen is OU-985 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is C1-M; near old Hunton townsite, which is in a Lochkovian deep subtidal ramp marl in the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma.
