It was assigned to Aristocystitinae by Parsley (1990); and to Diploporita by Sepkoski (2002).

R. L. Parsley 1990Aristocystitid with pyriform to globose theca, anterior face flattened; oval peristome composed of eight peristomals, one brachiole seat at each end of peristome; gonopore raised, variously placed. Periproct large, with heavy plated pyramid and robust articulation surface for pyramid plates. Large, variable attachment disc at aboral end of theca on anterior surface. Thecal plates thick; densely placed simple diplopore structures uniformly developed on all sides of theca.
