Taxonomy
Leptaena oklahomensis was named by Amsden (1951). Its type specimen is USNM 115293 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 13. Chimneyhill Creek Section, which is in a Gorstian carbonate limestone/shale in the Henryhouse Formation of Oklahoma.
