Taxonomy
Rasenia (Rasenia) laevigata was named by Mesezhnikov (1984). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 1195/633 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yany-Man'ya River, outcrop 24, bed 2, northern Urals, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
