Taxonomy
Rasenia (Rasenioides) aurita was named by Mesezhnikov (1984). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 4117/686, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Levaya Boyarka River, outcrop 22, bed 5, Taimyr, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
