Taxonomy
Dorsoplanites subovalis was named by Mesezhnikov (1984). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 543/688, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dyabakatara River, bed 5, Taimyr Peninsula, which is in a Tithonian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
