V. Havlicek and P. Storch 1990Shell tripartite, of spiriferid appearance, with a deep ventral sulcus and a narrow, highly elevated dorsal fold. Ribs rounded, usually simple, exceptionally bifurcating, crossed by concentric rugellae strongly swollen on tops of the ribs, and extending anteriorly into short spines. Pseudodeltidium flat, devoid of the median ridge; edge of the palintrope straight, tightly fitting against the hinge of the brachial valve. Dental plates absent; short pedicle tube and bifurcating cardinal process as in Clrftonia FoERSTE
