Taxonomy
Diplocynodon remensis was named by Martin et al. (2014). Its type specimen is MHNH F BR 4020, a skull (Nearly complete skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mont Berru, which is in a Thanetian fluvial conglomerate in the Sables de Bracheux Formation of France.
