Taxonomy
Glyptorthis crenulata was named by Cooper (1956). Its type specimen is USNM 116932a, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oklahoma Highway 18 roadcut, 1.8 miles south of Sulphur, which is in a Blackriveran marine sandstone/shale in the Bromide Formation of Oklahoma.
