Taxonomy
Glyptorthis uncinata was named by Cooper (1956). Its type specimen is USMN 116943a, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rock Crossing of Hickory Creek, which is in a Chazyan deep subtidal sandstone/shale in the Bromide Formation of Oklahoma.
