Mesoschizopus elegans

Taxonomy
Mesoschizopus elegans was named by Cai et al. (2015). Its type specimen is NIGP 157736, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bisiyingzi township, Ningcheng County, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Mesoschizopus.
