Taxonomy
Dicranoptycha burmitica was named by Kania and Szwedo (2015). Its type specimen is NIGP 156981, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (NIGP collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
