Taxonomy
Dorsoplicathyris pentagonalis was named by Alméras (1970). Its type specimen is FSL 46 957 (Almeras coll.) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aromas (Middle Callovian), which is in a Callovian carbonate limestone in France.
