Taxonomy
Peelerophon hodites was named by Ebbestad et al. (2013). Its type specimen is LO 11218T, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Köangen, which is in a Keila open shallow subtidal limestone in the Skagen Formation of Sweden.
