Taxonomy
Miocupes rihai was named by Ponomarenko (1973). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Pochlovice, which is in a MN 4 lacustrine - small shale in the Cypris Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Miocupes.
