Holopea mobergi
Taxonomy
Holopea mobergi was named by Troedsson (1918) [= Turbo? sp. Moberg 1892: 29.
= Turbo? sp. Olin 1906: 23, 25.
= Turbo? sp. Moberg 1910: 56, 71.
Lectotype designated by Ebbestad et al. 2013.]. Its type specimen is LO 2881T, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moberg (1910) Locality IIIi and Va, Röstånga, which is in a Pirgu marine mudstone in the Lindegård Formation of Sweden.

J. O. R. Ebbestad et al. 2013 | Shell large, up to 12 mm high and 10 mm wide, with five rapidly expanding whorls. The whorl profile is evenly rounded, nearly circular and the whorls have slight overlap with deeply incised sutures. Apical angle about 75◦. Umbilicus open but narrow. The shell is thin with fine orthocline growth lines. Thickening of the apertural lip is not evident. |
