Taxonomy
Ornithella syringothyrides was named by Crickmay (1933). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ravine 35 (trigona zone, 4100 ft), southwest slope of Mount Jura, which is in a Discites marine sandstone in the Mormon Formation of California.
