Taxonomy
Cassidirostrum vexans was named by Johnson (1971). Its type specimen is USNM 157420 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM 17213. 1900 ft west of VABM 7936. Lone Mountain. Bartine Ranch Quadrangle, which is in an Eifelian marine limestone in the Denay Limestone Formation of Nevada.
