Taxonomy
Protocortezorthis windmillensis was named by Johnson and Talent (1967). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM 10758. Big ledge, east flank and near mouth of Coal Canyon, which is in a Siegen carbonate limestone in the Windmill Limestone Formation of Nevada.
