Taxonomy
Blattinopsis romani was named by Scharf (1924). Its type specimen is Geiseltalmuseum Universität Halle-Wittenberg HG 155/80, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Romanhalde, near Dölau, which is in a Stephanian B/Stephanian C terrestrial shale in Germany.
It was recombined as Blattinopsis (Blattinopsis) romani by Müller (1977).
