Taxonomy

Pleiopleurina anticlastica was named by Johnson (1970). Its type specimen is USNM 157032 and is a 3D body fossil.

Synonyms

Plethorhyncha andersoni was named by Merriam (1973). Its type specimen is USNM 159574, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS M409, Rabbit Hill, which is in a Pragian carbonate limestone in the Rabbit Hill Limestone Formation of Nevada.

It was synonymized subjectively with Pleiopleurina anticlastica by Johnson (1974).
