Heminiphetia fritschi was named by Enderlein (1930). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Judge Fritsch (Goldap) collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Semidalis fritschi by Sziráki and Gröhn (2015).
