Strophomena (Strophodonta) beckii was named by Hall (1857) [= Leptostrophia sp. Williams, 1953b, Pl. 9, figs. 12, 13.].
It was recombined as Leptostrophia becki by Hall and Clarke (1892); it was recombined as Rhytistrophia beckii by Cooper (1944); it was recombined as Leptostrophia beckii by Johnson (1970).
