Taxonomy
Sphaeroma montefallanoense was named by Jones et al. (2014). Its type specimen is CSMNF 22004-20 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monte Fallano, which is in a Bajocian/Bathonian marine limestone in the Plattenkalk Formation of Italy.
