ReferenceDiagnosis
C. M. O. Rasmussen et al. 2012Shell gently biconvex, possibly longer than wide. Ventral valve more convex near the anterior margin; interarea low, wide and apsacline. Dorsal valve sulcate, apparently lacking interarea. Ornamentation unevenly multicostellate, with growth lines developed at every third of valve length.

Ventral interior with widely divergent dental plates. Median septum developed in a single specimen. Dorsal interior with bifid cardinal process extending posteriorly beyond hinge line. Socket ridges fused directly onto lateral bases of the cardinal process lobes. Concavity very pronounced anterior to cardinal process. Brachiophores low, supported by valve floor, widely divergent and slightly recurved towards the hinge line. Dorsal median septum lacking. Pair of low side septa present. Notothyrial platform absent.
