C. M. O. Rasmussen et al. 2012Shell medium-sized, ventri-biconvex in profile and transverse, subcircular to subtrapezoidal in outline; shell alate in juvenile stages. Anterior commissure unisulcate. Ornamentation parvicostellate. Teeth large, supported by divergent dental plates. Diductor muscle scars bilobed, weakly impressed on callus. Cardinal process thick, bilobate, positioned on notothyrial platform resting on valve floor. Dorsal median septum short. Dental sockets deep; brachiophores low and divergent.
