Eucladia was named by Woodward (1869) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ludl-l]. It is not extant. Its type is Eucladia johnsoni. It is the type genus of Eucladidae.
It was assigned to Ophiuridae by Woodward (1869); to Eucladiidae by Haude and Langenstrassen (1976); to Ophiocistioidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eucladidae by Reich and Haude (2004).
