Seriastraea furukawai

Taxonomy
Thamnasteria furukawai was named by Kanmera (1964). Its type specimen is GK.F350 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ko.278, Kuma River, which is in a Carnian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Koguchi Formation of Japan.

It was recombined as Seriastraea furukawai by Onoue and Stanley (2008) and Stanley and Onoue (2015).
