Taxonomy
Sisenna elegansa was named by Pan (1977). Its type specimen is NIGP 24164, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lj 223-19-1, near Suolaohe, Ninglang County, which is in a Norian marine horizon in the Songgui Formation of China.
